Environmental Reports

In 1999, Alcan became the first operator of an industrial facility in British Columbia to obtain a multi-media environmental permit from the provincial government. This replaces a number of separate permits and comprehensively addresses multiple emissions, effluents, and wastes. (See Pollution Prevention Planning.)

As a requirement of this permit, Alcan B.C. prepares a detailed and comprehensive Environmental Annual Report, which it submits to the B.C. Ministry of the Environment. The most recent of these reports are posted here. Hard copies of earlier reports are available on request.
